Welcome to KOVACK POTTERY! We are located in Seagrove, NC. Our pottery is all hand-turned, hand-built, and hand-painted here on the premises.


EASY BAKED ZITI - bake and serve in our large baking dish -

1 box ziti (or rigatoni noodles)
16 oz. ricotta (or 2% cottage cheese)
1 c. mozzarella cheese
2 tsp. parmesan cheese
1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
1 28 oz. jar (or can) of traditional pasta sauce
extra parmesan cheese for garnish


  • Cook ziti according to package directions.
  • Put in Kovack Pottery 10" x 10" x 3" baking dish.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees (375 degrees for metal pan).
  • Add cheeses and Italian seasonings to pasta.
  • Mix well.
  • Pour sauce over top.
  • Bake in 350* oven for 45 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese to taste.

CARAMEL DIP  - serve in our chip & dip

*14 oz. bag Kraft caramels
*1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
*minimum of 6 apples cut into slices


  • Heat caramels & milk in sauce pan and stir well 2 minutes on high.
  • Serve in Kovack Pottery chip & dip with caramel sauce in the center bowl and apple slices on tray portion.
  • Dip apples into caramel dip and enjoy!

VANISHING OATMEAL COOKIES Makes about 42 cookies

* 3/4 c + 2 tbsp butter or veg. oil
* 3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
* 1/2 c granulated sugar
* 2 eggs
* 1 tsp vanilla
* 1 1/2 c white flour or
whole wheat pastry flour
* 3 c Quaker Oats


  • Preheat oven to 350*.
  • In large bowl combine butter, sugars, eggs, & vanilla; mix well.
  • Add flour, cinnamon (optional), salt, & baking soda; mix well.
  • Add Quaker oats & raisins or baking chips; mix well.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet (can line cookie sheet with parchment paper instead).
  • Bake about 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
  • Cool cookie sheets 1 minute before moving to wire rack.
  • Cool completely then store in our Cookie Jar or serve on our plate or platter.

Here are recipes designed to fit in specific pieces of our pottery. We hope you enjoy them.

NO-COOK CITRUS CRANBERRY SAUCE - serve in any of our bowls -
Delicious with turkey or chicken, on a sliced apple, or even in yogurt.

* 2 c Cranberries (12 oz. bag)
* 1 Orange
* 1 Granny Smith Apple
* 3/4 c to 1 c Sugar (OR frozen concentrated 100% Apple Juice)


  • Pulse cranberries in food processor to a finely chopped consistency then transfer to medium bowl.
  • Wash one of the orange then grate or thinly slice off about 1/4 of the orange part of the rind into the food processor.
  • Peel the orange, discard peel, then cut the orange into pieces, place in food processor, pulse into slurry, & add to bowl.
  • Place washed, cored, quartered apple pieces into food processor, then pulse until all is chopped but not pureed & add to bowl.
  • Add sugar or concentrated juice & mix until well blended then chill (the sugar disolves on its own without heat).
  • Let stand for at least an hour to allow flavors to blend.
  • Place in a Kovack Pottery bowl and serve.

FRESH SALSA - serve in our chip & dip

* 1 green bell pepper or chili pepper (or more if you like it hot)
* 1/2 sweet onion
* 1 clove of garlic
* 2 large tomatoes (stems removed)
* 2-4 tbsp lime juice
* 1-2 tbsp (or more if you like) cilantro (dried or fresh)
* 1 tsp olive oil
* 1/2 tsp cumin
* 1/4 tsp black pepper
* 1/8 tsp salt


  • Place first 3 ingredients into food processor.
  • Blend into fine consistancy then scoop into medium bowl.
  • Quarter tomatoes then put into food processor.
  • Using pulse function pulse tomatoes into a chunky consistancy (not to a smooth slurry).
  • Add to medium bowl then add last 6 ingredients & stir well.
  • Flavors blend after it sits for an hour or so.
  • Tastes even better the next day.
  • Serve with your favorite corn chips in Kovack Pottery chip & dip.

PARTY SNACK MIX - serve in any of our bowls -

* 5 c. Crispix cereal
* 5 c. Cheerios
* 10 oz. mini pretzels
* 2 c. your favorite nuts
* 1 lb. your favorite M&Ms
* 1 pkg. white chocolate chips
* 3 tbsp vegetable oil


  • Mix cereals, pretzels, nuts, & M&Ms in very large bowl.
  • Carefully melt chocolate with oil & stir to combine.
  • Pour chocolate over cereal mixture & stir gently, but very quickly with 2 spoons, to coat completely.
  • May need to break apart large clumps as the snack cools.
  • Store in airtight container(s).
  • Serve in any Kovack Pottery bowl.
